The blurb:- Echo's by Sam Wooding (Instant Download) "The perfect ACAAN" Three ACAAN's. 1. Any Card At Any Super Hero (ACAASH). Spectator thinks of a Super Hero and a card, the performer spells the hero and turns over the card and reveal that its the thought of card! Although there is a kicker. When the performer turns over the card and written on the card is the thought of hero! 2. Any Card At Any Movie (ACAAM). Spectator thinks of a Movie and a card, the performer spells the Movie, turns over the card and reveal that its the thought of card! Although there is a kicker. When the performer turns over the card and written on the card is the thought of Movie! 3. Any Card At Any Singer (ACAAS). Spectator thinks of a Singer and a card, the performer spells the singer's name, turns over the card they arrived on and reveal that its the thought of card! Although there is a kicker. When the performer turns over the card and written on the card is the thought of Singer! My thoughts:- I bought this cause I was really interested in hearing an acaan applied to movie titles. However, this is a poorly constructed method. issue 1) your set up for all of the presentations is that you are hoping that the spectator is going to name one of 6 or 10 options that you have set up ( either 10 superheroes, 9 movies, or 6 singers as per the presentations given). The author has made a big assumption that "These are movies that I have found people say the most." One of these movies is MOANA....sorry but as the author's script suggests “Name a movie”....most people are not gonna name Moana, and if they say a movie that isn't in your 9 card set up....think of another trick cause you are screwed....(author provides no suggestion or advice if movie selected isn't in your stack) Issue 2) Author just simply suggest to classic force the required card without getting into the details of getting the card back into the position it needs to be in this acaan style plot. In the example provided, you know you need to classic force the 4th card on top of deck. If you were to classic force this card. you would need to do afew things, i.e move the card to the middle, then classic force (but in this method the person cant see the whole card so they cant take the card out of pack) Once the card is seen by spectator you then need to get this card back to the forth position of the deck for this effect to work. This is not explained at all in the write up, funny, cause that is the crux of acann plots, i.e.how do you get the card at the required position without looking suspicious or movey. definitely not explained or any additional insight here. This is poor on the author's point of view for not explaining the effect procedure thoroughly issue 3) blurb says "The perfect ACAAN" neither any card selected, or number (they never name a number nor get to choose the position in the deck) of selected at any point in this effect, so how can this be labelled "The perfect ACAAN" issue 4) this one you will either agree with me or not. depends what you would consider a kicker is. Blurb suggests that "there is a kicker. When the performer turns over the card and written on the card is the thought of Movie!" again misleading, kicker usually means you get two moments of magic at two different beats or two separate . example for a kicker to acaan is that spectator names a card, names a number. from a face up red backed deck you count down to the selected number. bam first reveal, the card you named is indeed at the number chosen. Now kicker is that you turn over that card and it is the only blue back card is the red back deck. So in my example you are getting two reveals, and the second reveal is indeed considered the Kicker... In echos, the card reveal and the name of the selected superhero/movie etc on the face of the card is in fact revealed at the same time. This is all that is actually said in the write up "Turn over the forth playing card and reveal the playing card and what is written on the card." Just by revealing the card first, and then revealing the written revelation second would immediately make this a better effect. But this is not suggested by the author. Immediate improvements that should of been added to this effect that weren't thought of by the author:- 1) If you got the spectator to write down the name of their movie/singer etc, if you peeked in advance, you would know either to have a plan b and reveal the selection in a different way and potentially more powerful way anyway(cause what is chosen doesn't match your set up) 2) Buy choosing the option above of writing down, the spectator doesn't say what they have chosen out loud until the very end. so you could ask the spectator to silently count down to the selection. Its a bonus revelation here. 3) when you reveal the selection card, cover up the written prediction, and reveal as a true kicker. I.e assumed they thought of hulk, ( from spectator's perspective, you don't know this, but you do). they have counted down 4 cards, ( you can actually have your back turned here). they name the card chosen, bam you show it covering the prediction, effect done. "oh what was your superhero?". "HULK" they reply, you then proceed to show the prediction. now that is a kicker In any case, if I could request a refund, I would |

Just wanted to add, just in case someone was looking for a similar based presentation,i.e. named movie/singer/superhero related to a card effect, I feel that the that following two commercially released effects are far superior and much more flexible to Echos and give you much more bang for buck, flexibility and versatility.
