Recently, I was looking at some recordings of the 3 shell game on the street and in each different video, the operators were all using the same cups and a similar large yellow ball. Does anyone know where they get them from? https://youtu.be/yP-OvorryAU

The cups are metal sauce cups that you can get at a restaurant supply house. There are many different sizes and many different places you can buy them even on Amazon

The yellow ball being used is most likely a 1" yellow sponge ball.

Thank you. I was having lots of trouble finding them.

Has anyone actually used cups and balls for the shell game as shown on the video instead of shells/peas? Is it easier, harder?
Are there moves or techniques that are different due to size or shape? Any resources address this?

I am looking to start learning the Shell game concept so have no experience to draw on yet, and if trying it using cups and balls would be radically different that may change my approach.

Thanks!

I have used cups for a shell routine. I used it on the streets (as a performance piece; not a con) for over a year before I changed my show. A couple of moves have been published, but I came up with many others. Most of the moves I developed were very stylized and would only impress magicians, rather than lay audiences.
