Digital piracy of magicians' intellectual property has been a long standing thread on The Magic Word Podcast since our beginning in 2012. In this week's podcast, we finally hear from an attorney who specializes in internet law. Atlanta attorney, Doug Isenberg, was the opening speaker at this year's MagiFest in Columbus, OH and he impressed me. I arranged a Skype chat with him to record a much longer conversation where he could elaborate on the topic. His time was short at MagiFest, but here he goes into more detail on what magicians should do and watch out for in order to minimize piracy, registering copyrights and domains, branding, and more.
You can see some photos, read the blog, hear a review of "Food For Thought" book test (highly recommended, by the way), listen to the podcast online and download the MP3 file at: https://www.themagicwordpodcast.com/scot......rnet-law This week we also welcome three new members to the Friends Of the Magic Word: Carl Thornton, Curtis the Mentalist, and Bill Jacobson. Thanks you guys for helping keep The Magic Word Podcast online each week. Every dollar of support helps!
