"7. Narcissistic personality disorder
In narcissistic PD, the person has an extreme feeling of self-importance, a sense of entitlement, and a need to be admired. He is envious of others and expects them to be the same of him. He lacks empathy and readily lies and exploits others to achieve his aims. To others, he may seem self-absorbed, controlling, intolerant, selfish, or insensitive. If he feels obstructed or ridiculed, he can fly into a fit of destructive anger and revenge. Such a reaction is sometimes called ‘narcissistic rage’, and can have disastrous consequences for all those involved." Hmmmm......

I used to work for such a man. I do not call someone that lightly. He honestly demonstrated many if not all of those traits. It was not fun. He very quickly created a toxic workplace.

In mild fairness to a person with such a disorder -- if they proudly announce having this disorder,
have a history of demonstrating that they have this disorder, and always create a toxic environment -- then, if you hire them to do a job and they mess it up -- who is to blame?

Here's an early reference/warning from a someone who would know: https://www.gutenberg.org/files/174/174-h/174-h.htm#chap01
Quote: -Oscar Wilde from The Picture of Dorian Grey chapter 1
You do anything in the world to gain a reputation. As soon as you have one, you seem to want to throw it away. It is silly of you, for there is only one thing in the world worse than being talked about, and that is not being talked about. Actors and politicians seem to have some need to be special, which is fine when they do as they're told by directors or ... There's an interesting divide between the "rules" one lives by and the rules one claims apply (to others). Unfortunately vanity/narcissism is the trendy diagnosis/label this decade. Not so long ago it was borderline. It's all good. It's not funny.

Believe me, I don't find it funny but when one is coping one often turns to humor.
