I've been advised on another forum and checked with some online vendors that Posey have stopped making the 8118 straitjacket.
It's a good well made jacket that set the standard for difficulty in escaping from. This is the only one recognised by Guinness World Records for any record attempt involving a straitjacket. Any suggestions for a replacement? Pete |

Is your worry specifically related to the Guinness Book?
Laymen won't know the difference. You can find jackets that look pretty much the same without being the "official" Posey jacket and work with those. BDSM sites are actually a pretty good source for quality jackets. It should be obvious, but I'ma say it anyway - these sites are generally not work or family/child friendly. If they no longer make it, then I would guess the Guinness people would update their policy.

I am pretty sure Roslyn Walker and Stuart Burrell (Spelling? Sorry if its wrong Stu) have both been involved in GWR so maybe they can answer? Also you could look on the GWR site as well - they will have all the detail's (But that would take lots of reading and there is no way I'm up to that this morning). |
