I was very happy to see it was just as successful (actually MORE successful) when done in a calmer matter. This also fixes the issue of people thinking it’s just the wind. It gives the whole routine more weight to. Imagine the difference between a new conductor conducting his first concert, frantically directing the symphony with flailing arms and nerves. And now imagine an experienced conductor standing firm, directing with power and finesse at the same time while moving slowly and melodically even in the uptempo sections. TO ME, this is the difference in the performance. But it clearly works for Rafael! It just doesn’t fit my style (although it would have a few years ago before I really started to examine my performing image.) Quote:

I’m not trying to dissuade people from purchasing this. I’m merely giving my thoughts fully. Also, yes, clearly I am under rehearsed since I just learned it. I was using my girlfriend to rehearse. Which is why I practiced on her and filmed it so I could view how to improve. Since the initial video, I have done it probably 10 more times, each time refining my approach and performance. In fact, I have several touches (pardon the pun) which I think turns this into more of a routine. ALSO, yes I’m sure Rafael does this on stage. I fully believe he does because it fits him and his movement quality. I just don’t think it’s the best option for stage. It doesn’t suit a typical stage performer’s persona. It requires a certain speed and movement quality which isn’t typically attractive on stage. In fact, I couldn’t see you doing it in your stage shows, Luca. You have a very calm and demanding stage presence which gives you power. As many say “there’s power in stillness.” This routine lacks the stillness that I think is necessary for stage work to be effective. But once again, in casual situations, this fits perfectly. In fact, this approach probably fits a casual approach more so than the typical PK touches because it feels unplanned and unrehearsed (which is a good thing for casual situations, but not so good for stage.) Having said all that, I will admit, there will be some performs who work on stage that this will work beautifully for. It really comes down to if the blocking/choreography fits your stage persona. For me, it doesn’t. Madison |

I met Rafael D'Angelo this year at Blackpool Convention.
He is truly a kind person and his vision of Mentalism is unique. When he showed me his PK Touches, we were in front of Heavyweights of Magic and Mentalism. They were astonished and the only explanation they could give, was that Rafael D'Angelo was using stooges. He did not. I also tell you that when he made the PK Touches on me, I was wearing a leather motorcycle jacket! No air movement, but real Touches. My experience was incredible because it was a long time since I had such emotions seeing such a powerful and inexplicable effect like this. An effect of powerful and completely VISUAL mentalism. I am convinced that Rafael D'Angelo's PK Touches is the most important evolution ever created on the Pk Touches. I can only add that for my personal experience it is perhaps the most incredible magic I have ever seen in my life. |

I am concerned about the extreme arm motions. Can someone post a video of a more "calm" presentation?
