This is awesome news! I am new to the message board and was going to make a post about looking for this book. I am so glad that Jimmy is back and this book is in print. Now if I could find a copy of 4 of Kind that would be awesome.

I've spent a lot of years just busking, but my age is starting to kick in and I feel like instead of spending huge hours out on the pitch every day it may be better on my health if I spend half that time on my writing.

Besides this, I have a lot more to share about the industry now, because a lot of stuff has happened since I dropped out of writing.

We've picked up more venues were we can work, and there's much more news that I will be sharing with you over the coming months here, and on my blog.

My book To Lure With Spectacle, as most of you know, was put together by the opinions of the old timers that had taught me, now that I am now myself an old timer, I am half way through my new book on my own opinions and stuff I have picked up on the road and crazy stories of things that have happened to me on my journey and searching. I am hoping to release this new book very soon, in fact I have a couple of incomplete manuscripts on magic and other stuff that I have left on the back burner for sometime now that I would love to get to.

In order to make this work I'm really gonna need y'alls help.

If you can please pick up a copy of my book this will take some of the sting out of me taking time off the sidewalk.

If this works out I will take time and start releasing new material and tricks that I have been working on over the years. Much of the tricks I will release are original material with hand made props.

You can find out more news at my blog jimmytalksalot.blogspot.com where I will be writing frequently from now on.

If you were following my blog in the past, you know I took a break for @ 5 years, whelp, I'm back now, sorry for the hiatus.

Thanks.

Sorry forgot to put the promo page for the book up so y'all could get a look at it. http://jimmytalksalot.blogspot.com/2018/......our.html

Also if your unfamiliar with me, I've been busking awhile professionally for years and my blog is a free instructional site to learn how to busk for a living, it covers just about everything, so if you have questions I got answers on there, it also has links and videos to other free info and stuff, if you click around here on the Café you can find out about me and the stuff I do, I'm gonna be posting again here on the Café, I miss being away from here this is a great site and in my opinion the best source for magic knowledge on the web.

Ordered it the same day Yellowcustard opened this thread and received it yesterday. Started reading and finished it today. It's a real good read and I really like Jimmys writing style.
I got some real good information out of it and it really encouraged me to hit the streets for the first time in the upcoming two weeks.

Hi Jimmy, I just got your paperback book a couple months ago. LOVED every bit of it. What’s the revised version cost?

It's 35. Is there a difference between this version and the previously printed one.

A little... haven't finished reading the new one all the way yet, but Jimmy says on his site that he updated and added to some of the info. Seems much is the same, but I had the original in a digital format and I like having an actual book to hold and read so it was worth it to me.

You won't regret going out... I only wish I would have started about 35 years sooner!

Thanks Gary, I enjoyed talking to you the other day, you really are inspiring.

And thanks everyone for the positive remarks.

I feel really foolish for writing up the article for the book on my blog and never even mentioning the price, well this morning I put up the price on the blog post, it's $30+shipping

Also, I have posted an article I think y'all will be interested in, it's how to get a crowd together for a close up show on the street.

Hi Jimmy. Last year I went crazy trying to find your book. I finally found one place that had ONE copy. Sold! I paid $35 for it... never came. Got lost in the mail! I was heartbroken. Then I finally found someone else selling it at double the price! That's right I paid $70 for it. But I never regretted the purchase. It was like gold to me. I read it cover to cover at least 3 times. Plus more when I would pick it up again just to re-read certain sections. Really glad you're back and you are one of the people I really hope to meet one day... Thanks for all you do.
