PCTC Productions and Sultan Orazaly presents Push.
I had the chance to see push up close and play with it. This is such a cool and easy solution to a very visual penetration. Both the card and the bill can be signed and examined. I particularly like the slow push but that depends on your performing style. Let's be crystal clear because this issue has come up so many times before... Can we use synthetic polymer bills with transparent areas in it? (Canadian currency)

I'm interested in the discussion on this one. The slow motion penetration looks really nice. Am curious if the handling is complicated. Seems if a switch is involved, the handling would be easy, but if no switch, seems handling would be more complicated. Certainly, I could be wrong (hoping so). So interested in the reviews when they come.

The ad does say that it works with any curency, but you should defineely confirm that it wroks with Canadian currency. I do not think thsi effect invovles a switch, but rather taking away the sneaky part after the card is removed from the bill similar to the pen thru bill effect. It does look very good and the handling looks very natural. Great illusion.

Hello,
First, thanks you for your gentle words. We are happy to see the hard work we put on this project finally pays! To answer to your questions : - Yes it is possible to use it with Canadian bills since you don’t PUSH the card on the clear area! But you can PUSH it on the center and slice the card on the clear area to take off the bill from the card! - No switch involved! The card the spectator signs is the card you’ll use! We worked on this for over 2 years to find the most EASIEST way to perform this effect. So the handling is not complicated at all! If you have any other question please just ask! Jordan |

In the trailer the corner of the card is shown to be folded. How is that justified to the spectator?

You can EASILY justify this "detail", I found it to be natural. Look at 0:50 of the trailer, do like Jordan, push *lil pause* slide, give it back. I think you're thinking as a Magician, IMHO.

The corner is folded, you push the card thru the note give the card back for examination.
The corner is still folded Sean. You can have it for examination.

Ceierry, I think what Sean wants to know is why is it folded in the first place? Obviously it has to do with the method. But to say "you're just thinking like a magician" is just a lazy argument... Its the kinda thing a magician would say because they haven't thought something through perfectly, and being backed into a corner or questioned about it they just need to say "oh but you're thinking like a magician". It falls into the same category as "but no one has ever spotted my pass" or whatever, just because people don't say something, doesn't mean they don't think it.
The trick looks great though. Im sure there would be a way of justifying the corner bend somehow. All the best, Dan |

The fact that the corner is already bent makes it so obvious the the corner just bends back as the card is pushed onto the note.

I wonder why I would bend a corner of a card that is supposed to be pushed through a bill? If anything, not trying to think like a magician, while watching this I would say to myself, "the bend in the card makes the card less stiff? How would that help the card to be pushed through a bill?".
I do want to like this because it's a very cool idea, but so far I have to say it's not happening for me. I am sure others will be fine with it. Everyone can't agree on everything! RNK

Hello,
To give you a quick idea on how to justify to bend the corner, what you can say is that a playing card is like metal, the more you bend it (sereval times) the more it becomes HOT! And the hotter it is the most it will penetrate something like the bill for example. It is very easy to justify this by playing with the gimmick! You can also reprsent the card as a cutter and the corner as a blade. When the blade is too close to the bill, it can cut it... But at the end you just try on you fingers, nothing happen and you can give ALL for examination! Here are 2 little ways to justify the fact to bend the corner |
