Haven't tried liver of sulphur yet. Been experimenting first with more common household products, hoping for a simpler solution.

Liver of Sulphur gives the most authentic patina.
If you want to do a real accurate job then LoS mixed with vaseline and applied with a Q Tip or cocktail stick is very effective - a bit of heat speeds up the patina (Like a bulb) |
