There are plenty of 'what ifs' with this release, and the consequences of these 'what ifs' occurring are far worse then any other performance piece. You're being disingenuous. |

I've been keenly following this thread right from the beginning. Overall, it has been a great education in many ways. Thanks to everyone who posted.

So, we shouldn't question the word of a great legal mind...posting on the Café huh?
Also, if we don't fold in our opinions and actions, cease and desist, we might well be sued, or have our a** kicked by some imaginary CEO huh? Lmao. The other amazing occurrence (laughable and sad) is that anyone claiming to a magician/mentalist, would go on a non magic site, and post specifics of method. Confidentiality is something you'd expect, from even a young hobbyist magician, let alone a competent attorney. I don't think that was very considerate, or ethical. The condescending psudo authoritarian tone reminds me of Cartman yelling "Respect my authorityyy!" 252Done

252life,
Normally I ignore your posts as they are mostly just massive fanboy crushing but since you singled me out I will address your comments. I perform in the real world , and have dealt with CEOs - they would not take kindly to you using an app to hack they messages. In the book Ryan even mentions changing their iCloud and gaining access to their passwords for other things - I suppose you think that is cool as well. It has been well established that this effect is questionable both legally and ethically. There are MANY people in this thread that have expressed the same opinion. I am not standing on any high ground - just stating facts. At least, I took the initiatve to seek out legal advice - unlike you who just posts uninformed opinions and gushes over your magic crushes. Further, you commented about me posting the method on a legal forum. Let me address that: 1. The trick nor the creator was never named 2. The method of this trick is not unique to magic, It is not the invention of Ryan tricks. Its a well known method. 3. You seem to think the ethics of magic trumps legal and ethic bounds. That says a lot about you. Did you ever stop to consider just how damaging this effect can be to the magical arts when people start to learn that magicians are hacking their devices to gain access to their messages and passwords ? No, of course not - you are here defending an effect that MANY people have asked for refunds over. |

(You are more delusional then expected lol) I perform in the real world , and have dealt with CEOs - they would not take kindly to you using an app to hack they messages. In the book Ryan even mentions changing their iCloud and gaining access to their passwords for other things - I suppose you think that is cool as well. (You perform in the "real world"? As opposed to where you practice law maybe? Nice to know, and for the record I make my 24/7 living as a mentalist. I don't care to have a ****ing contest, but thanks anyway.) It has been well established that this effect is questionable both legally and ethically. (Obviously not...see attached debate.) There are MANY people in this thread that have expressed the same opinion. (Sheep much?) I am not standing on any high ground - just stating facts. (You're correct there, right up until that little dash..) At least, I took the initiatve to seek out legal advice - unlike you who just posts uninformed opinions and gushes over your magic crushes. (When you can't back an argument/position with facts, go for personal insults. That's a proven winner, I'll try and return the favor in a sec Plus, posting methods on non magic boards, seeking validation isn't due diligence, it's a pitiful demonstration of having no life, no class, too much free time, and little honor. A "magician" that can't keep secrets is what you scrape off your shoe after a walk in the dog park.) Further, you commented about me posting the method on a legal forum. Let me address that: 1. The trick nor the creator was never named (Never said it/he was. Wasn't the point at all.) 2. The method of this trick is not unique to magic, It is not the invention of Ryan tricks. Its a well known method. (Well known? By who? If so, why even discuss it, as no one would use it, if it was "well known", let alone pay for it then complain.) 3. You seem to think the ethics of magic trumps legal and ethic bounds. That says a lot about you. (You, Good Sir, are dim witted.) Did you ever stop to consider just how damaging this effect can be to the magical arts when people start to learn that magicians are hacking their devices to gain access to their messages and passwords ? (Yup, you got me there. That's all magicians do...hack stuff. We deserve to be shunned.) No, of course not - you are here defending an effect that MANY people have asked for refunds over. (I don't care if every single person that purchased it demanded a refund. I am a free thinking American and need no group consensus.I didn't request a refund, and I am stating my opinion about it. If you would read my original post, I stated my thoughts. You can have a different opinion of course. 1st Amendment and all that jazz you must have learned at Harvard Law...) Mazing, don't be mad with me. I don't know ya, but always kinda liked hearing your thoughts Even when I disagree with them :) Big D, you're less impressive the more desperately you try. 252SupremeCourt

Just to quote your retort :
It has been well established that this effect is questionable both legally and ethically. (Obviously not...see attached debate.) So you see this effect as ethical and legal (an effect where to create a backdoor to someones WhatsApp, change their iCloud so that you have access to all their passwords and other personal information) ? cool. Good luck to you. |

This is an example of how well this type of peek is know by people.
When I purchased this effect I didn't think it would be this but that Ryan had come up with another way to peek the info. |

If you use whatsapp for work then this method should be obvious to you. Every person at my last job used this function, we are talking 200-300 people in one building.
This is by no means a hidden feature, it's advertised and intended. |
