Howdy y'all (as they in King Diamond's current home state),
I used to listen to some King Diamond and Mercyful Fate (mostly the latter) as a teen. Not much recently, but I've been on a metal kick lately so I decided to check out "Abigail" (which I hadn't heard, but is considered the best album). It was great. I loved the music and the story, ...the story made me think of you lovely, creepy guys and gals. Any King Diamond fans? Has anyone used any of his ideas as inspiration for a show or routine?

...or Ghost (aka Ghost B.C.)?
That might be a little too specific of a storyline though.

Do you mean a show based on their music or using their aesthetic for some inspirations? I love both Ghost and King Diamond

Sooper fan! I spin "Them" all the time! Never used it as a narrative starting point for magic....

I was thinking more of using the aesthetics as inspiration, but either really.

In the beginning of my bizarre magic career, I definitely painted my face in King Diamond-esque makeup for my performances. Been getting away from that, but I definitely bring it back out for Halloween shows

Lucian Astor,
Nice, "them" will be next on my list. Dorian_faust, In make up!? I love it. I had never thought of that (I have a full beard, so I don't think I could really pull it off, but that is cool.

King is my absolute favorite! Abigail is a fantastic horror story and album
he has a great catalog, Voodoo, The Graveyard, The Puppet Master, The House of god etc. Great inspiration! |

I always thought that using the grandmother character from the 'Them' album would be a great contact for a seance. I'm weird though

Well, ....yeah! That's why you're here! I listened to one song with grandma, but haven't heard the whole storyline yet (I've talken a slight detour into Hawaiian jazz lately). I am, however intrigued.
