Any reviews?
Ad copy: 1. The audience chooses a suit from the deck. Each card in that suit is taken out and given to the spectator who SHUFFLES IT. 2. Then, they start dealing cards from their pile. Each time they deal a card, you're able to cut the remainder of the deck AND INSTANTLY FIND THE MATE OF THEIR CARD. 3. This goes on, building to an impossible climax where you cause a chosen card to appear face up in the deck. How easy is it? SO EASY YOUR SPECTATOR CAN DO IT. Seriously, you can even let them cut the deck and find the right card. It's mind-boggling. When you want to make a seriously big impression, Suit Cut to Order is the trick for you. |

Why, oh why cannot people provide a link to the effect in question? It really is very easy.

Hi! Erik Tait here. This is my release from Penguin and it is ripped straight out of my theater show Please Shuffle the Cards. Thanks for starting the thread. I really appreciate the positive response we have been getting so far. If you have any questions I’ll do my best to answer them.

I purchased this effect from Penguin. It's not a magician fooler (I correctly guessed every step of the method from the performance), but laymen will be blown away. And aren't we actually performing for laymen?
The ad copy refers to spectators' perception of what's happening, which is fine because again, we're performing this for spectators. For less than $10, you get a routine that makes you look like you're a master card handler. The effect can be performed with a borrowed, shuffled deck, although it's easier if you use your own that you've already setup a bit. But you can do all the setup impromptu, in front of (and even involving) spectators, and Erik covers all of that. This effect is essentially revealing each card in a suit in the order their mates are revealed by a spectator. This provides an endless variety of options for each reveal, and Erik covers many. You can do a matter-of-fact reveal, a prediction reveal, a fancy cardisty reveal, a comedy reveal, etc. You have 13 chances to amuse, impress, and baffle the audience. And you have 13 chances to involve the audience, which makes this a great routine for an individual spectator or a group. The core component of the method isn't 100% foolproof, but it's very reliable once you're familiar with it and Erik covers several backup plans in case you're concerned. There are no sleights required unless you choose to use reveals involving sleights. In other words, at the point you know what card you're going to turn over, you can just turn it over or you can perform an elaborate flourish and interpretive dance. Erik shows many options, none of which are necessary if you find them intimidating but all of which can also be used throughout your magic life. So for less than $10, you're basically getting a 45-minute lecture on card handling in addition to an explanation of a particular effect. Erik is a great teacher and the video is well-produced. This is a great roitine at a bargain price. |

I fully admit to naming it as a play on words and being entirely to pleased with myself about that title.
But given that another effect of mine in my notes is titled, "Any Card At Any Bottom Deal," I feel like I did a better job naming this one.

Same here Michael!
This could also be done with a poker hands if you wanted to change the theme or make the routine shorter. Pegasus- That's an affirmative.
How many magicians does it take to change a lightbulb? Regardless, for magicians darkness is a time for d'lite.

EZ, that is exactly the way I’ve been presenting this, definitely a real worker, just a little too long for me.
