Mini Cube to Chocolate – Henry Harrius

Product description: Henry Harrius, who is a FISM winner, is also one of the god when it comes to Rubik’s Cube gimmicks. He first put out Rubik’s Dream which was a revolution, the quality of the shells was amazing. He then created Rubik’s Dream 360 which is a 6 faces shell, so you can show it all around, and even twist one layer. This is his addition to the Cube to Chocolate plot, using a mini Rubik’s Cube. He provides multiple ways of doing it as well as several gimmicks. But is this worth your money ? Let’s find out !

What you get: the packaging is once again amazing, Henry did a great job with it. I think packaging plays a big part in your experience with a trick. Of course, you’re not paying nor buying a packaging but still, I find it amazing when I receive something well packed. Inside, you’ll find several things, the video is nicely shot and edited, you get to learn all the variations of the trick. You get the false chocolate candy which is a nice addition, he didn’t have to include them. The 2 main gimmicks are as amazing as the shells you’re use to with Henry, they look like what they’re supposed to be: mini Rubik’s Cube. One gimmick is “static” and the other one, you can twist the first layer (a bit like RD 360 but the gimmick is not the same). You get an additional piece so you can show the cube from all 6 sides. You also get several small cardboard boxes, which look like transport boxes for the cubes. They’re also useful for the trick. Overall, you get a lot for your bucks ! The items are high quality, you get several methods and even fake chocolate, what else do you want ?

The pros and the cons: Here is the core of my review, let's begin with the cons, as I will usually be doing, I prefer to keep the good things for the end.

THE CONS:
- The trailer does not sell the fact you can use anything with the gimmick: real chocolates, sand, weed, paper, dice, anything !


THE PROS:
- In one method, your hands are not clean at the end, but the heat is on the chocolate so you have all the time in the world to do what you have to do.
- The trick is highly visual, with a good patter, you can destroy people’s mind !
- The package is really complete, Harry has provided you with several methods so you can chose the one which fits the best into your set. I think using the packaging box is the safest one but smashing the cube is also very visual.
- The quality of the gimmicks is outstanding, as usual, Henry did things right with this release.
- The twisting gimmick is very clever, not quite like RD 360 but clever in its construction. Both gimmicks are provided blanks with sticker so you can put any algorithm you want on the cubes.
- You can start right out of the box, using the fake chocolate provided.
- You don’t need a special surface like a black mat in order to do the trick. You don’t even need a table to perform it, the spectator hand is enough. Also, it happens in the spectator hands, so the magic is much more stronger.

Overall rating: This is one of the best Cube to Chocolate version out there, the quantity and the quality of what you receive is incredible and I can’t see anyone being disappointed with it if they liked the trailer, 4/4 hearts.

As for the difficulty level, you’ll have to practice a bit, especially the handling of the gimmick and the smashing of the cube with your hand, I’d say 3/5 stars.

Similar products: Impact Cube seems to allow you to do the same thing but I have not tested it.
