As many of you know, when I attend magic conventions I post daily updates from the convention floor featuring chats with talent, organizers, dealers, registrants and some of the local commercial establishments that make each convention location unique. My reasons for going to all this mind-boggling time and trouble are threefold: first, to allow those who could not attend to get the next best thing by hearing the sounds of the convention and feeling that they are there almost in real time. Second, for those who did attend, they can hear conversations with some they didn't get to see/hear plus to hear some "behind the scenes" talks that enrich, deepen and broaden their convention experience. And finally, to chronicle the conventions for future generations to go back and remember and learn from so they can make better future experiences.

If you have never attended a MAGIC Live! over the years since Stan Allen started this event, you owe it to yourself to come next year. Much like FISM, it is a gathering of thousands of your magic friends, many whom you may only see at this now annual event. The format is different from most conventions in that there are no contests and the lectures are more like shorter T.E.D. Talks that make you think about your magic.
