Just wanted to introduce a new project I am working on that is currently on Kickstarter - the ad copy is below but in magician's terms it is a new take on the classic hot rod (forget the dreading "spelling" the number --- this will work perfectly in every language!) - it comes as a credit card size and a key tag size (so you will always have it with you) - also the instructional video shows you how to easily create a stage version. Ad Copy – Thought Transfer

Kickstarter is fine. Backed some really good projects over the last couple of years. I know there are some projects that have not been managed well .... But it's by far the minority of projects..

So, Mike, I just want to be clear here- the prediction is on the back of the card, yet it can be repeated with a different result?

I rarely repeat the effect but as taught in the instructional video you use the line, "Now that you know what the prediction on the back is, I am going to (text you, write down, etc) a new prediction and send a new number from my mind to yours" --- it can then be repeated with a new number "transferred" as well as a different outcome. The times I do repeat is when I show it to someone and they call their spouse, friends, etc over to see it and I will explain what I did with the original person and that this time I need to text someone the new prediction to do it again. Hope this helps - I carry this along with several other of my effects (Mind Card and Cubed Card) and B'Wave, 5-1 Transpo, etc in my wallet so usually I just move on to a different effect if they want to see more.

Your idea seems exactly similar to that, when I saw your vid. And I got a bunch of ideas for a $12 pdf.

Thanks for the info of Hexagons. Looks good. I was not sure why you mentioned the price. The Kickstarter is $10 - which seems like a good deal to me. It's a thing* I am willing to back.

I researched a lot to see if any ideas like mine existed - it is hard to say how similar this is to mine without purchasing but I don’t think it is the same as my method would not work well with 6 rectangular shapes (business cards) and if it is somehow the same method the routine is far different and in my opinion there is an advantage in that you don’t have to mark up 6 business cards every time you perform and instead have something that will last forever in your wallet or key ring.

I do not know where you got that Hexagnosis uses 6 business cards. I can confirm this uses only 1 card - 6 circles laid out as in your gimmick and all. "most probably" your method may be very similar to the Hexa one, if not the same - but I cannot be totally sure, obviously, as I only have one and not the other.

But if you wish, I can post a comparative review on here, if you are willing to send a review copy. Either ways, you should not be "assuming" that yours is a different effect/method, imho.

Imaginacian - I just saw on the link it said using business "cards" so I assumed it was using one for each item --- perhaps it is 1 for the objects/words and 1 for the prediction to be written down? In any case the routine is completely original and a few of the psychological tests leading up to the effect itself was left out of the promo (would be too easy to steal) but all that and the entire routine and more will be included with Thought Transfer - I would think that even if we are exactly the same on the main method the overall routines and look would be very different - similar to the hot rod effect now coming out with the Lego Rod, Pizza Rod, etc.

This looks really cool and hopefully easy to adapt to fit my style? For the price I am going to give it a shot. That's cool you are offering a whole package of your other materials but I just did the Thought Transfer as I already own and use most of the others. Can't wait to try it out

Yes - there are tons of things you can do with this idea and card/key Tag that is included - the routine I use fits my style but there are tons of ways to present this limited only to your imagination! You won’t be disappointed!

I also have only Hexagnosis but it's pretty obvious they must be the same...

Reading the description of the Unknown Mentalist Effect it would not use the same method as it would not work well using people’s names and places in the description - there is also a HUGE advantage with Thought Transfer in that you will always have it on you either using the credit card size in your wallet or the key Tag Size on your key ring - made of plastic that will last forever! You get both for only $8 if you back on Kickstarter - after that the price will go up to $10 + shipping - you can also do this effect on stage (you are taught how to make your own stage size version with a prediction envelope) and currently I am working on some extra surprises of some psychological “tests” that I use all the time in my stage and walk around sets. For $8 you won’t be disappointed (assuming the project gets the other 19% funding).

with all due respect but wouldn't you want to check the actual differences to Hexagnosis yourself now that you're kickstarting?
After all, it's not an expensive booklet and since people start comparing don't you want to do so either? I have no cards in the game here but if I created an effect and was told about close similarities to an existing release, I would urge to learn what the fuss is all about.
Just my 2 cents.
