Can someone tell me what TPC stands for, please? Usually I can figure these things out, but this one stumped me. Top Palm Control? Two Paternalistic Creeps? Headline: Torreador Pans Cordoba?

Ah, search engines make things too easy. I now know what TPC stands for. You'll notice that my guesses were very close ha ha.

The overhand shuffle is actually a very versatile move: besides shuffling the deck, you can false shuffle, control cards, stack and order cards, displace cards, and even force cards.

I can't believe Mr. Harry Lorayne's description is "pushy". That's the exact feeling I got (without the word) not from seeing him perform but rather from studying one of his effects! I needed to check some item from "The Magic Book" some time ago and I spotted a four ace trick. For some reason I decided to learn it and go through the steps and it suddenly hit me: "this guy is actually pushing his way through the audiences!!". It was so amazing and it made such a strong impact on me, that it actually influenced me up to a personal level in my life. Amazing, truly amazing. I have never seen anything comparable to this. I often think about this as well. Very, very good. And right now I'm going to learn the Illogical DL. Bye for now. And what a pleasure is to have Mr. Harry Lorayne on the forum.

On the other hand Harry Lorayne has been combing Europe for new stuff and given the creators a place under their name in his fabulous Apocalypse.
In his books like Best of Friends, he also made sure to credit the originators of his published effects.

"Marlo was a researcher and Harry is a performer. Some of us may not like his style that they resent as pushy, but there is no doubt that he is an outstanding performer.

"I admit that I don't know about the present issue, but the past of both masters pleads for Harry Loraine and even if Ed Marlo predates it for this move, it doesn't mean that it's his." Lawrence O - 7000 posts.

Yes, I taught my Illogical Double Lift way back in Quantum Leaps - re-wrote/updated it in Lorayne: The Classic Collection, Vol. 3. But - it is also taught where necessary in an effect in my latest book, AND FINALLY! You gotta' start reading the good stuff, guys!!
