Does anyone recognise this stack? its a stebbins varient (+4) but I cant find a reference to it?

The plus four stack has its roots in the Galasso card system from 1593. It predates the Si Stebbins so it's technically not a variant.

I recalled in Past midnight DVD Ben Earl refer this as riverboat stack

Elsewhere on the site you can find some history of the stack, and even download Si Stebbins' original book.

Richard Osterlind used the +4 stack before he developed the BCS system.
