Looking for some science related magic tricks for groups of kids ranging from 6 to 12 years old. Can be chemistry, physics, or something related to electricity. Tricks should be fairly quick...1 to 2 minutes maximum. Needs to be not overly messy, and preferably something that does not spill easily. Open to any suggestions. Thanks for helping.

Some of my ideas include: Die Box, cut the rope tricks, magic switchboard, light heavy box. Just wasn't sure how to come up with a patter for science. Thanks

I suggest eliminating all the fire tricks for kids because they if they see it, they might try to copy it themselves home alone.

Effect: The magician pours pepper on the surface of a bowl of water. When the magician puts the tip of his index finger into the water the pepper swims away from his finger, in the middle is now a hole without pepper.
Secret: Secretly put some dish soap on your finger before you put the finger in the water. |
