Hi,
I'm putting together a coins to glass/cup routine. That part isn't the problem. I'm coming into the routine with a coins from deck of cards production. I'd like to end everything with vanishing the coins from the cup. Either all at once or one by one. I haven't decided if I will do it seated or standing. Anyway I'd appreciate your tips on where to find inspiration for this. Maybe someone knows a source where I'll find various methods for both scenarios. I already thought of a customized Kangaroo Coins if seated but have a few problems with that. Thanks for your time, Markus |

Do the coins have to vanish from inside the cup or can you take them from the cup and then vanish? Sick by Ponta the Smith has a clever handling for a transfer that you might could repurpose into a vanish. Hardest part would be keeping the crying down/misdirecting attention. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mbTp5pu5WXo

No they don't necessarily have to vanish from inside the cup. As I said I am open to inspiration will read about Sick.

There's a lovely vanish of all 4 coins at once from a glass on Ganson's Routined Manipulation.....can't remember which one but think it is his coins to glass. Basically you dump all four coins into your hand, toss.....and they are gone.
You could could even grab the card box after this and dump them from there. Nice vanish, I use it all the time. |

David Roth. NYCMS dvd series volume 11. Three coin vanish specifically, in a routine that uses a cup. He used it on Penn and Teller Fool Us

For one at a time, look at Miguel Angel Gea's Essence routine (you can see the performance on youtube).
In that, he has a section where the coins vanish from the glass to appear in the other hand. With some tweaks, you could cause some of those coins to completely vanish. |

Thank you all for the suggestions. Ganson's are on my list anyway. Will try to obtain them within this year.
Roth's method is of course superb. But I have a little problem with justifying the "thing" or at least didn't come up with a plausible alternative. Carney... Have to check out, if fits into my funds for the next time. And Gea. Yes, beautiful stuff. But I get that the tutoring is not n Spanish and I am bit hesitant. |

You can use my technique to cleanly vanish 4 coins. See The Black Hole on vol 7 of the NYCMS dvd series, or an updated handling in one of the Penguin live lectures.

Thanks Dr. Rubinstein,
indeed I watched your Penguin lecture and have to say it was great inspiration. That's why I mentioned Vernon's Kangaroo Coins. I am torn between a standing at table side or seated routine. Seated I will certainly use something along those lines. But I'm exploring the "standing by" possibilities also. Maybe I'm getting lost in trying to do everything right. And should just go for it. But then I'm reading Ortiz's "Designing Miracles" at the time and can't withdraw the feeling I didn't think enough. I'm finding myself in hard times for trying to get serious about magic. I wanted to put that piece together to perform when I will approach my local circle the first time. And to be be blunt, it scares the heck out of me. Anyway, I highly appreciate all of you'res help, Markus |

The technique I mention is for standing up. But you can combine it with a topit, etc, for more variation.

Ok, maybe I got something mixed up. I will watch the lecture again and see what I missed.
