Just wondering what the practioner in the Bizarre is wearing these days.
Normal run of the mill clothes or something more interesting

I wear all black with a pentagram medallion around my neck. Somtimes I wear a lorgnet(SP?), especially if I am doing palmistry.

Black pants, black turtleneck, quartz crystal pendant (or celtic dagger pendant).
But that's just a matter of choice.
There's nothing wrong with "run of the mill" clothes (especially if you're running a mill!<G>).
In fact, nothing is more frightening than when it initially appears normal and harmless!

I tend to wear all black modern style clothes but, have been considering something more from a slightly earlier era but, haven´t decided which yet.

When I'm actually in a "Performance" situation and doing a show (other than home parties) I have three very cool Goth styled black suits I picked up in a clearence sale some time back... it's the closest thing I can get to the old Beetle Naru look I want wihtout wearing Oriental looking tops.
HOWEVER, I also do lots of work around Renaissance Fairs and thus, have a fair collections of cloaks and robes that fit my Druid's personna... almost all earth tones, very flat or muted colors, nothing excessively bright or glittery.
For Home Parties I've found "less is more" as per Mark Striving's observations... street clothes or casual dress slacks and a shirt. During the warmer months I tend to go with Greys and Blues or earth tones... during the cooler months I go with black slacks and turtle neck with a very simple amulet of some kind (typically a silver Pentacle or Eye of Horus).
In that I work with Goth oriented groups a great deal, I've found that offering a more "sophistocated adult" appearance (the Matured Vampire look) works best... but that's due to my age and that wonderful silver color in my beard and hair these days.

Black shirt, black pants, black boots & all of my wicked looking silver jewelry. Actually, this is how I always dress.

I sometimes wear an ankle length leather trench coat in black of course, looks like something out of hellraiser.

I wear what I always wear -- black jeans, black engineer's boots and a black leather vest. Offsetting all that black is a button-down shirt of some light or bright color (the one in the picture there should look green).
The general effect is, I believe, not quite normal, not quite stereotypical bizarre or goth, just a tad skewed from any expectation.
But then, that's just me :-)

To show them I mean business, I always wear a dark, well tailored suit. With or without a tie, depending on the formality of the occasion. And to subtly remind them that I am of a different, nocturnal stripe of magical entertainer, I wear a sterling pin on my lapel in the shape of an anthropomorphic crescent moon; this is a personal trademark that appears as part of my logo.

I almost forgot: in cold weather, I top it off with a custom-made, caped Inverness cloak of black wool, lined in rich black satin. It imparts a turn-of-the-last-century impression that befits my performance persona.
I cannot praise the manufacturer of this lovely garment too highly. It is Texas Body Hangings, as seen at many of the Renaissance fairs throughout the country. If interested in obtaining one of your own, you can find the manufacturer (and see the Inverness cloak) at bodyhangings.com.
