Hocus-pocus has this. I'm not sure if it's an OLD video re-released on DVD or new. Anyone?

I have heard that he was to the US to make this video.
On the other hand, the description of what it contains resembles his old lecture video, released many years ago. Finn Jon's thinking is very good though, taken that you are hooked on floating, soap bubbles, tennis balls and producing smoke. NB; there were no of his floating routines in his old video, except for bubbles. Maybe there are here Sven

I have all Finn Jon`s videos and all of them are good but his video from Ron MacMillan`s International Magic ( Finn Jon`s Fabulous lecture ) is one of my favorites. A superb video.

The floating ball looks great, but the multiplying balls!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AQ-2b5aIMmg Incredible! Perhaps the best video of multiplying balls I have ever seen! There is no real "table of contents" for this video anywhere online. Having researched this, it seems that Finn (who no longer is making the multiplying balls gimmick) uses sp**ge tennis (though they look white) balls and 2 s****s. I'm wondering if anyone actually does this routine. Is it practical? I actually think it might be great as a "what the heck's going on over there?" routine for street/busking. Does anyone know if it's too angly? Or could the angles be modified and covered with body moves for drawing a crowd? Simply amazing and the floating ball looks fun too. PS Does anyone want to sell/trade this DVD? Thanks! |

I have this dvd.
What I like most is how each of the routines on the dvd are a little more creative and different than the norm in terms of method. He is very clever. His multiplying balls is excellent. I have only seen it on this dvd and have never seen them in person which I have long been curious to see how they look up close. He also used them in a very simple to do routine with a coffee mug which I thought was great too. If I remember right, he says he just makes the balls. I'll have to take the dvd out and watch it to get a list of the routines on the dvd. The floating ball looks very magical and is from what I have seen one of the best looking floating objects I know of. Most floating routines on the market always seem obvious to me, but this one fooled me when I first saw it. The vanishing device is ok. Looks good but angles and restrictions make it not great. He also teaches his smoke device. This was one of the main reasons I bought the dvd. The dvd was not made very high quality, but it is older and maybe from a vhs originally and converted to a dvd. And Finn Jon goes through his instructions fairly quick and not very thorough. But overall its a fun dvd to watch. |
