Topic: Name of trick-predicting color stones |
|
||
I recently saw a magician who had colored stones in a bag and had around 5 audience members reach in and then he was able to tell which color stone they all picked. I am wondering what is the name of this trick or similar and where can it be found? Magically yours.. |

You're probably referring to Charles Gauci's Body Language, However the effect is to identify the spectator with the one different stone. There are also a couple of other versions out there. |

Didn't Max Maven do an effect with black and white stones? MM |

Max Maven has a routine called Kurotsuke-You can find it on the Videomind (Parlor) DVD. |

I don't think handsofmagic is talking about body language or kurotsuke (both of which are great, by the way). There's a commercial trick that was advertised all over the place a year or so back where you could divine who had all five colors. I'll have to look in some old magazines and find it. Mark |

Lastnitesfun is correct. In the version I saw performed, it was a presentation whereby 6 or so spectators reached into a bag and took a colored stone. The presenter then was able to point to each spectator, not in order and identify the stone. If correct the spectator would sit down. It was nice audience management. |

I saw this a few weeks ago , just wish I could remember wich site it was at..... |

In Kurotsuke (Max Maven) all of the stones were one color with just one exception. For example, each person would pick a stone and Max would pick out who chose the one colored stone. Mark |

How does Mark Strivings "Warm Fuzzies All Over" go? I can not remember, but I know that he uses stones and a pateo force. This is probably not the same routine, but if you know how this one plays can you refresh my memory? Thanks, C |

I think that is the name of the one I remember seeing. |

I remember seeing something similar on the Stevens Magic web site so I did a search and came up with the following. http://www.stevensmagic.com/shopping/shopexd.asp?id=2290 http://www.stevensmagic.com/shopping/shopexd.asp?id=5704 |

THAT'S IT!! It's the first Steven's link in mrj's post. I couldn't find it and couldn't find it, but I knew it was out there. Thanks mrj. Sorcerer's Magical Stones. Body Language, by Charles Gaucci, mrj's second link, is very similar to kuratsuke but uses a different method. Mark |

Lastnitesfun: Have you seen that one (Sorcerer's Magical Stones) performed? I think it sounds really good and a decent price too. Does anyone have it or know of a review? btw, I have already done a search and cannot find any previous posts. |
