Topic: What's in 'your' wallet? |
This has probably been asked a billion times so if there is a subject on this already, I apologize. Anyway, just like that credit card commercial, what do you have in your wallet for that impromptu situation? When a spectator asks, show me a trick, are you prepared? Leave the cards at home, since that will never fit in your wallet. No TT's either unless you've got a soft one but I wouldn't be carrying it. Same with spongeballs. Anyway, here's what I carry: -Wonderland Bill -Hundy 500 gimmick -A few coins for some vanishes and reproductions -[ -Improv Nightshades gimmick -One of Ford's credit card tricks. Anyway, I need a card to wallet. Maybe that's the one thing I'm missing.. |

A red ribbon tightly wound to save space, to do some ribbon and ring effects. Linking key rings (made by myself, following Sankey's 3 Ring Circus) A deck of cards in the back pocket (esp for Dr Daley's Last Trick, Vernon's Twisting The Aces, and working on Marlo's Estimation Aces) and, lately - carrying an Okito box with 4 Standing Liberty Half Dollars (still working on this one though) Of the above, recently I've been getting some of the best reactions from the ribbon and rings. kerpa a/k/a Michael Miller Chicago area |

At any given time, all I carry are a few rubber bands, between 2 and 4 Half Dollars, occasionally a Centavo to do my variation on Wild Coin, and some cards. If I have my bag, it's loaded with everything from forks, to extra cards to force on a spec so that I'm not ruining my deck with every trick. |

Money, when I am not broke, a few Dock Haley gospel bills and KK. GlenD |

I always carry Wonderland Bill, as it fits in with a credit card, and wallet space is limited. Also, in the bill section, Embezzlement by Bill Prior - a neat mentalism piece. I intro Wonderland Bill as not magic but interesting like Origami. Everyone finds it fascinating. Keith |

- a couple of half-bills of different denominations so I can borrow a bill and do a T&R (I usually do Daryl's version of Ripstoration). If I have time and can borrow a coffee cup, I roll up the pieces of the "torn" bill and do Curtis Kam's impromptu chop cup routine, Coffee and Dough -- very strong and highly recommended - Beswitched |

In my wallet I have s***** writer and business cards, that's all I need for a quick mentalism act. Pocket writing also plays large in this. Open wallet and their just mentioned word written on post-it, for them to keep. Quick and simply, yet you get the "how did you know that face" |

Modified Version of Mismade Dollar. (or modified version of I think it is called Quatroflex). And Parson Gary... I agree. Some have HUGE wallets. (In the words of Chris Rock, playing a White Comedian on "Down to Earth": Sit down before I squash you with my wallet!) |
I don't carry much except for a few rubber bands, a b'wave, a really simple blank paper to bill gimmick inside my wallet. The wallet itself is somewhat nifty though, as it has a levitation gimmick built into it so I can do a quick set and end with my wallet floating an inch or two above my hand. |
My main magical item in my wallet IS my wallet! the STEALTH! although I do keep 2 rubberbands (for CMH) and the printour for Paul Green's JEOPARDY actually in it! |

My wallet is the Royal Card to Wallet, so I keep a deck handy in my pocket as well. I've been having a lot of fun using a gimmicked wallet as a normal wallet. Use your imagination and let the fun begin! |

A double-backer for card to wallet... sometimes a prepped card for a torn and restored --- most things I keep in my wallet get all screwed up from wearing down anyways, so I don't put stuff in there unless I'm doing a gig or going somewhere I know I'll be asked for magic. |

My wallet is a stealth assassin. I carry inside my business cards (always a good thing, when you do impromptu to give at the same time your phone number and e-mail), cards for ungaffed BWave (Alain Nu), a nail writer, a shiner and, in the secret compartment, an index with simple drawings. As you may guess, I do mentalism and in these field, there's a lot of impromptu material. |
