Topic: Rabbit Vent Puppet
Message: Posted by: JamesinLA (Dec 5, 2002 12:56AM)
I have designed a large part of a new show around a rabbit vent puppet, but can't seem to find the puppet I need. It must have a movable mouth (hand powered of course!), be all white, and be about the size of a real bunny. If I can't find one, any ideas where to find a pattern to make one? Any help is greatly appreciated.

Axtell has a vent rabbit that is white and movable mouth, but it is larger than a real bunny, about the size of a vent figure.

That is an excellent puppet but it does not look like a real puppet. More like a funny cartoon puppet and worth the price.

I am satified with my purchase from Axtell. Now if you want real looking rabbit puppets, then around Easter time look in the stores. I got a half dozen real looking plush rabbits. They don't do anything but when I combine them with my three rabbits for a 10 second visual effect, it looks like I got a herd of rabbits. If I don't soon seperate them after the effect, I will have a herd of real rabbits.

With a little effort, you may be able to turn one of these into a puppet.

Ok here a hot tip!!! look for any stuff animal that has a large jaw and space for your hand it fit up the rump. get some felt and card board and hot glue then cut the mouth and open up the rump. you can make a puppet very easy!! I go to goodwill and other thrift stores for stuff animals that cost .25!
I have one you might be interested in he has four legs movealbe mouth and fits inside a hat. I can take a picture if you like I found him at a garage sale.
