My best word of advice to you is to look away from magicians acts and videos and dvds and seek inspiration from within yourself and the word around you. Looking at others acts only leads most folks down the path of non-creativity. I think you can become much more creative with your manipulative act by looking away from magic for your ideas. Just food for thought.

Did we mention the McBride series yet? (JK!)

Books are better because you will learn good technique but be less likely to imitate someone elses style. I reccomend 'Routined manipulation' and 'Routined manipulation finale' by Lewis Ganson and 'It's easier than you think' by Geoffery Buckingham as great resources on manipulation style magic.

I believe McBride's World Class Manipulation deals more with balls, coins, and thimbles.
