On March 11, 2005, Darren returned to the Welk Resort Theater in Branson, Missouri. This engagement, marks an unprecedented deal for both Romeo and Branson. Having only performed 9 weeks in 2004, Romeo was offered a Multi-Million Dollar contract to return for multiple seasons…

2006 Branson Dates:

March 10th through September 4th. For more information please visit Sullivan Shows by clicking here.

Earlier in the year, Darren toured the show in several locations. In September 2004 he returned to his hometown for the first time in almost 10 years. The show played at Darren’s alma matre – Hofstra University. While family and friends were naturally present, there were VIP celebrity guests including Broadway legends Tommy Tune and Stephen Schwartz.

The Show then had a five week run at the beautiful Beau Rivage in Biloxi Mississippi. This hotel and casino, originally built by Steve Wynn, is now part of the MGM Mirage family. It was Romeo’s first engagement with the corporation since the Mirage in 2002. The theater, originally designed for Cirque du Soleil, was a perfect atmosphere for the show.

Immediately, following the Beau Rivage, the show once again moved, this time to Reno, Nevada. Here a more intimate theater at the Eldorado Hotel & Casino housed the show which played for 9 weeks to blockbuster reviews.

From Reno, the show moved back to Branson to get ready for the March 11 2005 opening. Darren however, traveled with crew and family to the Magic Castle Awards in Hollywood. Darren was officially presented “The Magician of the Year” award with much celebration on March 6, 2005.

I'm not a huge fan of what he does. But that is my opinion.

I don't really know much about his actual show, but why not, he seems talented

From what I hear he sings as he performs his show and that he is VERY GOOD at both!

Darren spends most of the year here in Branson. I gotta say I like his show and beyond that he is a pretty good person.

His show is not really average push a box arround magic as he has a fantastic voice. It is worth seeing to say the least.

Darren has a very unique thing going and is a great example of having a signature concept to set you apart from the pack. He sings while doing the magic. The illusions are staged to the structure of the songs.
He also gave us a great example of promotional work that Houdini would have been proud of. He arranged to vanish a famous NASCAR in his Branson show each day and arranged a tie-in with a bottling company to advertise in the strategic regions for the Branson tourism. A NASCAR feature in a Branson show? that's good! Darren developed his show and the promo with help from past IBM prez David Sandy. David runs the best production values in Branson!

Darren is a major talent and a really nice young man. He's done a lot for the Magic Seminar and the Magic Castle... he gives his time and is happy to do so.

I have seen Darren's show twice now. He is top notch! I visited Branson this past summer and took in three different magic shows. By far, Darren was twice the value of any others. He sings and does great magic with his assistant from many years.

The first time I saw him, he was nursing a very bad cold. However, the secondast time I saw him he really seemed to be enjoying himself. His play with the audience was very personal. He actually got excited and walked up through the crowd on the backs of the chairs!

He signs autographs and allows the crowd to wait in line to take pictures afterwards.

I saw Darren in Branson last year. He is great. I would not only recommend him, I would see his show again.
