These are the finest books dealing with silk magic. If you want to do anything with silks you really have to get them and you'll find many gems therein. I would recommend reading them in order (there are 4 volumes) as they are written for you to learn the basics first and then progress into more advanced work. Good luck!

Hello Andrew,

Welcome to the world of silk magic. As the author's daughter, I am clearly biased, but I agree that these books are the best you can get for your interest in silk magic. Many dealers sell them. My father, Harold Rice, sold the rights to them in the '80's. We, Silk King Studios, still have originals of Volume III and many useful smaller publications that dad wrote. Many of the silks and the related utilities are still available from us online at http://www.silkkingmagic.com or by mail. I hope you enjoy your new exciting interest.

Hello Andrew,

It has been some time now. Did you take their advice and get the Rice Encyclopedia of Silk Magic?

I've enjoyed mine for many years. Volume 2 looks like it has survived a war. It is really worn. Apparently it is my favorite.

Let us know what you learned.
