Topic: Haunted Chairs

Hello! I was hoping somebody could point me in the right direction.

I'm looking for an effect whereby after a volunteer has been sitting down they stand up, move away from the chair and then the chair suddenly falls over or move quite violently on its own accord. I think this could be very shocking. I know it's probably possible to get a self collapsing chair but the performance has a nineteenth century setting and these kind of chairs would look out of place!

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated

Get a hold of John Bundy and see if he could make one for you. If he can't build what you want I'll bet he knows someone that can. Here's a link http://halloweenmagicshows.com/

Find a chair with a tilted back (off center of gravity) and a strong fish line.

I think black thread is better than fishing line because it dosent catch or reflect light.
