Topic: Royal Road To Card magic 4 disc set and 5 disc set?
Message: Posted by: Nicholas Spade (Jul 12, 2007 06:14PM)
I am looking to buy a Royal Road to Card magic DVD set.
Which one should I get? There is a 4 disc set and 5 disc set?

Any help would be appreciated, Thanks

I can't comment on the 5 disc set, but I do have the 4 disc set and find it a very good companion to the book. Of all the DVD's I own, I use these more than any others (as a reference). If memory serves, the 4 disc set was about $20.00 less expensive than the 5 disc set.

I like both sets - they're both good. The R. Paul Wilson 5-DVD set contains more sleights and tricks from the book (as well as more unnecessary repetition), but I like Rudy Hunter's manner better. However, I'm happy to have them both, as each includes instruction that's not in the book.

Thanks for the tips

I will go for the cheaper of the two first.
Since they both are good. Who knows I may get the other at some point too.

again thanks

The R. Paul Wilson set is very good. I don't have the other set so I can't comment on it.

I've also got the Paul Wilson set and highly recommend it.

The Paul Wilson DVD set was my first Magic-DVD purchase. He does a nice job demonstrating/explaining. I highly recommend it.

I have the 4 dvd set, and I think it is well done, the teacher is very relaxed and it goes at a nice pace, not too fast.

Overall I am very happy with it!
