I just learned this today. My family has seen me do bill switches, so I didn't expect this trick to have such an impact. They freaked.

I can't wait to do it for more people to see if it has the same effect.

Hello,

I am a “new, returning” magician. And this effect has worked
very well for me as well.

Only semi negative is my son said “ Hey Dad, you have
two ones that change into a two”. Magic should make you
have “more money” not the same amount.

So I started changing a 2 dollar bill and a 5 dollar bill
into a 10 dollar bill. (2 x 5 = 10)

I call it either math money, or multiplying bills.

Now just think of the other things you can do using
the same method, but not using money!

Say your using a two $.
You change it to two one$.
Put one of the one$ in your pocket.
Change the remaining one to a two and your a buck up.

I was actually thinking the same thing.
Seems you shouldn't break even if you're magic. :)
I present it as a way to save room in my wallet.

I wonder if there's any way to incorporate a 5 $ as well.
Change ones to 2$, back to ones, then to a 5. That would take quite a gimmick.

Jaz: I like it. There are some other possibilities along
this line as well.

Other quick thoughts:

Blank paper of the correct size changed to money.

Two tens become a hundred. (I can’t afford this one).

And then your son pockets the money and says THANKS DAD, SURE YOU CAN MAKE YOURSELF SOME MORE . . .

Andy:

Sounds like you've met my son.
