What's the best information on the dancing cane and where can I get it?

I got mine from http://www.elmwoodmagic.com for only $9.95! It is a very nice one too! Hope this helps.

There is a great dancing cane from Peter Loughran. It is lit on fire as you proceed to make it dance around. Then, for a kicker, it vanishes completely into 2 silks. Amazing trick.

Does anyone know if the Fantasio dancing cane that turns into silks is good quality? How good is the dancing cane at elmwood magic? Thank you.

I purchased my cane from Elmwood magic and it's great. It is made of wood and comes with instructions. It is my first dancing cane and I still use it. It also matches the fantasio canes. I use it to dance with, then I might switch it for a fantasio color changing/vanishing cane. You can dance with those, but I like to dance with my $10 cane from elmwood. Hope this helps.

Your best bet is to look around. I had been looking for a dancing cane and searched the net not sure what to buy. Then one day I was in Phoenix ( a 2 1/2 hr drive for me) and I went to one of the magic shops and there it was sitting in the corner all by itself. I took it home that night. :smiles:

Use a Fantasio appearing cane and attach the gimmick.

For information on the cane, one of Jeff McBrides videos has the cane on it I think. :bluebikes:

Yes: Magic on Stage volume 3 has a lot of work with the Dancing Cane.

I got mine from the trickery, and it is the same as Jeff McBride uses, it is a metal one.

The manufacturer passed away recently, so I think they only have a few left!

Hope this helps,
Kevin.

I use the same dancing cane as Jeff McBride. I got mine from http://oh.verio.com/~magic

The cane is made completely of aluminium and is as light as a feather. I love it. Also there is no chance of standing on it and breaking it. ;)

hope this helps,
TM

Templemagic: Looks like we have the same taste in dancing canes. We both use the same cane.

I think we will both agree it is great. I prefer the metal cane to the wooden ones, they just fly better, with more enthusiasm.

:rotf:

Thanks,
Kevin.
