Now I know Jay has mentioned some subtleties for the ending effect (ie the burnt hole) some use marker some use flame to achieve the full effect what do you guys use?

If you are asking what everyone else does to enhance the effect, I would just stick with coloring the edges with markers. What I have done on some cards, specifically the card the spectator chooses is I hold the card over a lighter so the middle of the card is singed. That enhances the effect a little, but it really isn't necessary. Noah
