Topic: Painting Leatherette
Message: Posted by: Lou Hilario (Jan 8, 2008 09:29PM)
Most of my cases are covered with black leatherette. I used to buy spray paint that was called vinyl paint. It was good and my cases shined and looked new. Now, I can't find them anymore.
What kind of paint can be a substitute for it?

Assuming leatherette is also known as naugahyde, or vinyl, Krylon Fusion may be what you need.

Here is more info on a different product.

Michael is absolutely right, and Krylon Fusion is excellent for what you want. I would check to see how long it has been on the shelf though, it does seem to go bad with age.

I did not know about the shelf life, but I'm glad to learn. Thanks!

Seems to me I saw vinyl paint in an auto parts store. I think it was auto zone.
