It deffinately makes you more aware and carefull not to have these things happen to you but on the other hand it gives shady people ideas to scam others. Rory |

This is a great show. I believe Paul Wilson did a similar show in the UK call The Real Hustle. |

I do wish that Apollo gets his own show out of this because he could certainly do to pickpocketing what Blaine did to Street magic. Greg |

Greg
Paul Also did a show called "The Real Hustle" in the uk with Alexis Conran and Jessica-Jane Clement. The show highlights ways in which money can be extracted, with a view to educating the viewer in how to avoid becoming a victim. Various terminology is explained, and the marks are fully informed of the cons/scams straight afterwards and repaid any money they'd lost. It was produced by Objective Productions, same people who do Derren Browns shows. It's been on for a few years now so maybe Objective have sold the format to TRU TV. Hope this helps Mescalito |

The Real Hustle USA is identical to the UK version. Down to the scams themselves. It may even have Objective involved. |
Hats off to all involved though. It looks like a great show. Interesting to see the different reactions between the Brits and the Yanks to the same scams. |

I TiVo all the "Real Hustle" episodes. And it's very well done and entertaining. Great TV. |
Awesome, can't wait to see more. |

The US Real Hustle was indeed based on the UK Real Hustle. The American production company bought the rights. |

That's a great show-- thanks for the link! After watching the lotion scam, I chuckle everytime I go to the local farmer's market. One question, though-- are any of the marks stooges? Most of the scams are pretty straightforward, but I wonder what would happen if, say, they crashed one of the cars they stole or a mark got violent. |

If something like that happened, it wouldn't get aired. |
Remember there isn't much reality in reality TV... Nice to see that a show I created and produced (The Takedown) - get's ripped off in the UK (even uses one of the same "hustlers" in the lead) - comes back to the US - and on the same network. Got to love showbiz! And before anyone say's they are different - The Takedown was supposed to be more about street and short cons etc. and that's where it was going to go in the next episodes etc. - long before the UK Real Hustle was even a thought. Par for the course in Hollywood. |
