I just recently had my mind blown by the coolest (non m****d) ESP card routine ever.

Our resident CoupCoupDaddy shared something with me that will definitely keep me up all night.

I have done this routine to myself a good eight times now, trying to mess it up and it just gets more amazing every time.

It's the stuff of the devil I tell you! But not the bad devil with the horns, the good devil with the nice blond hair.

P.S. Thanks TH...this is the kind of entertainment that keeps on giving. I did it in my house, I did it to a mouse. I did it in the cellar. I even fooled a fellar.

So cool.

Paul Brook has a video of the basic thing Don is talking about on his website...

It's always a pleasure to talk with you, Donnie, and we are elated you appreciate this gem as much as we do! We've never found anything quite like its impact and intrinsic aesthetics. After over 15 years of performing this, we recently asked about it in Inner Thoughts and were led to Zentalist Michael Fraughton who is researching its origins for proper crediting in his version for a forthcoming book. So far, Isso Liwok has shared it with Corona Smith, Steve Bryant and now Don Theo III. Out of respect to Michael's quest and work and for our own sheer enjoyment, we're putting on our own custom-designed steel muzzles. Everyone but Isnot Liwok. Ya'll can take it from there.

No...Hidden Suggestion

Thank you for sharing this with me Coupcoupcoochoo.

Bungling hiccups all clear now.

It is indeed a thing of rare beauty.

Bless you, our earstwile editor. Yes, the Chevrolets can mis-ergle the uroboric bite getting to the tenfold good-good.

For badness sake, Donnie, do be wary of the horned Nords as well as the southerly chthonic More Locks!!!!

Isn't the trick on Paul Brook's site titled "Hidden Suggestion" the same trick as "Marked Thought" by Mason on Richard Osterlind's Easy to MasterMental Miracles Volume 1?
Message: Posted by: Nathan Pain (Mar 27, 2008 11:06AM)
I have that dvd & have never watched it...maybe I should...

I think you are correct, I seem to remember it from MMM also.

For the lazy the link is: http://paulbrook.co.uk/vid_suggestion.htm

This is Bob Mason's Mark-A-Thought, from around 1972. I used to do it, haven't in years for certain reasons. Nice enough piece.

Mr. Raven's description for us (thank you) jogs our memories. Isnot says the swan may be the same in Mr. Mason's effect, but this particular thang of which we speak is done sans markers or chips or coins or such. And all the misses are really hits. They're like delegates. Then the true matching hits begin. They are like superdelegates! Hooray!!!

I watched the Paul Brooks video. It is very good.

But it is not the same.

There is a very eery triangular keep-you-up-all-night element inherent within the Trinity.

The Triangle is the thing of madness.

BTW, I hate using the "underground" word, but the Mystic Triangle has much power before most of us were ever even born.

This link will lead you to the mystic triangle of 1929...I don't want to even try to put words on it, because the wickedness of the night in question will give all of you performers the spookiness needed for the kill switch.

1929. I had very weird dream last night after CCD's dreamscape of ESP cards...I think there is something very strange afoot. And I like it!

This is the stuff of other worlds...I have a very pleasant headache as we speak.

I had the pleasure of watching Michael Fraughton perform this for normal folk quite a few times and I am pleased to see the appreciation for this kind of magical happening resurface.

Thank you

Yeah...I hopped on his website...I was half expecting a dragon to appear...

Michael is the real deal.. This man lives his character and is a shining example of staying true to performing style, character, and drama.

Freaky- Yes..
Fun- Way yes..
Intersting- Hands down..
Bizarre- Thankfully so..

I have verified through a relative of Rhine that the triangle was not used (and wavy lines were) because the triangle's shape was shown to skew testing results in a surprising and unique way compared to the other shapes which "hit" in more random patterns.

2) The strongest aspect of this effect is its ability to empower its participants like Bucky Fuller's discovery that triangles synergize each other's structural integrity.
Message: Posted by: coupcoupdaddy (Apr 12, 2008 06:05PM)
3) Corona's re-constellation of this in Inner Thoughts.
