I've done a search for the answer but I can't find it. Is it safe to rub the nails down with normal surgical spirit? I bought some for this purpose but it says on the bottle "not for internal use". I can't think of anything else to use. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Daniel Nicholls |

Find Todd Robbins here on the forum and PM him directly about it. He's the expert. |

Daniel Nicholls [/quote] LOL. You are banging a nail up your nose and concerned about the surgical spirit :) Smart move to ask the expert of course. Wouldn't want it to sting. Anthony |

We talk about this a year ago! LOL Daniel, do you know how to do this bit? Or are you just going to do it and see what happens? ray |

I know how the routine works and how to perform it correctly. I have been shown how to do it by someone else that does it. The same person mentioned the spirit and I bought some but then I saw the warning on the bottle. Just wanted to clarify. Daniel Nicholls |

Carry a glass of water ,give it a rinse and apply plenty of your saliva ,it wont kill you ,unless you get a cobra to lick it for you instead.Im still blockheading with this method .. Regards Mark |

Thanks for all of the tips guys. I have since decided not to use the spirit. I will have to try the saliva though. Sounds ..... tasty, lol Daniel Nicholls |

Been doing blockhead since learning from the master, Melvin Burkhart, when I was a teen. Never did more than wipe the nail off with a handkerchief, before and after, never had a problem. I switched to a Phillips screwdriver after a few years, and still do it that way after about 50 years. Good advise earlier was learn from someone who does the act. Todd Robbins is the man to ask ... good luck. |
