Is there any place around the Philadelphia area where I can learn instant inductions in person? I'm more of a hands on learner, even though I've watched DVDs several times but I need the hands on approach.

John, check the various yahoogroups or the like for a hypnosis practice group in your area. Or, post to a local magic/hypnosis forum that you wish to get together with folks to practice. If you're a member of the technique exchange http://groups.yahoo.com/group/hypnosistechniqueexchange do a search in the archives for advice on practice groups and/or post a query about folks in your area.

You are absolutely correct that you need a hands-on approach to truly master this material and a class or practice group is safe and easy way to find volunteers to play with. If you can't find an instructor, then you can still practice the techniques with others - Ormond McGill's big blue book has some advice (albeit dated) and you can do some of the street approah bits to find volunteers.

Speaking of DVDs . . . my Speed Hypnosis Techniques DVD set is on pre-release sale for the next week before it goes into release and is offered for the full price (the pre-release price is a savings of US$150 for those with an interest). See http://www.briandavidphillips.com/products/shop.html for the details.

All the best,

I would also suggest contacting the National Guild of Hypnotists. They may have a group that meets in your area.

Contact John Cerbone in NYC, he is offering a class in your area. Also John and I are doing a "Speed-Trance and Hypnotic Power Class" in San Antonio Jan 31-1.
