Anyone else here play "Portal?" My daughter is on the last level, trying to destroy the evil computer one data ball at a time. I'm one level behind her.

I finished it a few months ago. Only took two days, but it was interesting while it lasted. Listen to the song during the credits; it will be in your head for awhile.

Having heard the song, I had to find out what I could about the game. We downloaded a sample from XBox live and then my daughter found "The Orange Box" for cheaps at Game Stop!

I beat it in 4 hours straight the first time. I couldn't stop playing.
The second time thru I beat it in about 2 hours, so my thought process & learning curve are measurable. ;P

One of the best stories in a game. One of the best villains in any game.

Lots of implications and theories about the 2 characters.
You should read this article about GlaDOS:
http://www.game-ism.com/2008/04/04/still-alive-shes-free/

And I can't seem to find it at the moment, but online I had seen a timeline of events in the Half-Life games' universe, and it included how the events in Portal fit in. Very cool. (Can't wait for Half-Life 3 to reveal all!)

Wow. I never realized the character was supposed to be a clone. I figured there was something more here than "jump the mushrooms, rescue the princess" but I didn't realize people had considered it to this level.

Any discussions on who "graffitti guy" is who's leaving you clues?

I figured "graffiti guy" was just someone who was there before. I never really put much thought into the game. Maybe I should have....

I found out he's called the "Rat Man." I prefer "graffiti guy." The third time she hit GLaDOS she shouted; "That's for 'graffiti guy' you *****!" (censorship mine.)

Have you been to the website?

http://www.aperturescience.com

click on the flashing cursor, then type "login" When prompted for a filename type "cjohnson" the password is "tier3"

You can type a few of the commands. One will give you the history of Aperture Science and another "apply" will see if you qualify to be a test subject.

"Graffitti guy" is most likely one of the previous Chell clones...!!
