Hi guys,

I'd just like to ask a simple question concerning the 20th Century Silks. Can I make a set of 20th Century Silks myself, and if it is possible, is it simple to make, e.g. will some sewing do the job?

Rice's Encyclopedia of Silks has a huge chapter on the 20th Century in volume 2. Or for something with no sewing go to http://www.allmagicguide.com for a 19th Century Silk routine.

Hello Magician81:

Yes, 20th Century Silks are quite easy to make. I like the gimmicked version, but it seems the non-gimmicked version is more popular these days.

A couple things to keep in mind:

Make sure that a corner of the reappearing silk matches one of the other silks. This will save some sewing. There are a number of rainbow or sunburst style silks out there that will do the job. If you decide to go with all solid color silks, more sewing will be necessary.

I hope this helps you. If you're looking for a VERY nice version, try http://www.silkkingmagic.com or http://www.pasilks.com. These two companies make beautiful silksó more expensive though.

I hope this helps you.
