Topic: Silk to egg |
|
||
Hi. I like the silk to egg trick a lot and I have a set of Michael Ammars Lecture Notes which have a cool routine in them. The only problem is this: The gimmick (Those familiar with the effect know what I am talking about) is white and I can't get white regular eggs. This means that I have to try and dye my gimmick. Does anybody know how I should make the gimmick look more egg coloured? Thanks |

Don’t bother to try to dye your plastic egg. Go to the hardware store and buy a can of white, semi-gloss, spray paint and “mist” your real egg! That is paint it white with a very, very fine coat of paint. The real egg will hold the color better than the fake one. You can probably better match the real egg with the fake one using this technique. That said, unless the colors are strikingly different (say, one is white and the other blue) then the audience probably won’t notice the difference in shade. But I could be wrong! |

Thanks. I will do that. |

Hi Templemagic, hope that is the right expression. You are searching for a real egg? I`m producing real eggs for the egg routine in the right colour, brown or white. Magically yours Manipulix |
