Thumbs up thumbs down?

It was a little to long, but over-all I liked it. Two thumbs up.

It was WAY too long. Shallow, predictable. Mindless piece of crap. Woody Harrelson's character had no place in it, he was like from another movie. The ever-so-happy idea of the dysfunctional family which ultimately gets reunited as the wife's new guy dies almost made me puke. The escapes from destruction were not only unbelievable, but totally laughable. And the dog getting saved at the last moment...oh please. Its very obvious the only reason it was made was the desire to get certain special effects scenes on screen.

I don't believe in Mayans.

Apart from that I do enjoy a good CGI based scene now and then.

Yeah, that sounds funny...

However, Mayan calendar ending on December 21st 2012 is an urban legend. That date is the last day of 13th B'ak'tun on the long count calendar (the one which supposedly ends); December 22nd 2012 is the first day of 14th B'ak'tun. The long count calendar consists of 20 B'ak'tuns that follow each other. If you want some facts on the Mayan calendar...

I see potential in many. Is it so hard to hope?

Plus I kind of really wanted to use that line.

With this topic, it is... LOL

But the line sounds fine!

A movie focused on the new and improved Y2K mania? Not remotely interested.

I call dibs on asserting that the world will end on February 22, 2222, if we're all still around after 2012.

I hope they open more of those survival shops like they did right before Y2J. They had great deals on camping gear.

TV show premiers when?

And not a peep about drama at the expense of billions?

Nero would be so proud... and perhaps even inspired.

Save for some amazing special effects as they escape from falling cities the film was absolute garbage. I didn't expect any better. I was there under duress.

Waiting for the video.
So I can avoid renting it.

Wait a minute....this could be the key to improving the economy. If we can convince morons that everyone needs a new computer system like the idiots who acted as experts with Y2K then things will boom again!

Now would be the time for some P.T. Barnum type to 'discover' the Mayan Calendar that starts the day after the old one ends.
