I didn't see this elsewhere but one of the great influences on mime and part of the great street and later TV mime act Shields and Yarnell has passed away at the end of July. She was a wonderful performer and woman, I had the honor of meeting and seeing her work in the 70s, and she will be missed. What a doll she was. I studied mime and hated most of them because they wouldn't talk to me in make up but Shields and Yarnell were great.

Sad to hear that. I very much admired her (their) work.

Probably just a typo: her first name was Lorene (according to Google, anyway!).

Could be....not a name I'm familiar with spelling. Now that I look at how I spelled it I did go with the Bonanza spelling...I think

What have they been doiong for the last 30 years?

They've performed and then divorced and their type of act just fell away and they got older. Shields is in Sedona now and Lorene (see that?) got married and moved to Europe. They were still performing every so often a few years ago.

Close... that was Lorne Greene. You went with the Sophia spelling.

Good thing I don't make grave stones..... There has to be someone named Loren.

The bio says Spaceballs. Who was she in it? One of the few funny movies by Mel Brooks. (Yeah, yeah, tell me about Blazing Saddles and all that. Not funny, I insist. And please don't even mention the snooze-fest called Young Frankenstein. But I digress). I vaguely remember her from Ed Sullivan with her partner.
