Topic: Steve Reynolds Cups and Balls

I don't know Mr. Reynolds. I have been fooled by people doing his card magic though. I had no idea he was also a purveyor of my favorite trick. He does a original routine and it is really good.

You can tell by the video clip on Vimeo that he is a polished and pleasant performer.

What a breath of fresh air! Thanks for sharing this Kent.

Loved the synergy acheived by combining some of the great sponge ball effects with the cups and balls. Bravo Steve!

Best,

Doug

Well done... hmmm... he could add some mystery using Johnny Paul cups.

I saw Steve do a very nice chop cup routine a few months ago, so I should not be that surprised by this video, although I am. Very nice, thanks for the link.

Very nice. I like the way he sets the whole thing up.

It's a nice routine, I like how he has audience interaction that completely avoids the 2-0-2 (not that there is anything wrong with it)

Like the use of sponge balls in cup routine. 2-0-2 is my favorite part of a cup routine.

No matter how many times I see the Cups and Balls, when the final load sneaks by me, I feel like a little kid.

Wonderful.

Agreed.

Fred Kaps used sponge balls and of course had a wonderful routine. Here's another routine using sponges. Also a very nice routine. Maybe there's something to these sponges.

Does anyone know where I can find the video of Steve Reynolds cups and balls routine? The original link is now password protected.

If anyone knows the password to view the original link, can they let me know. I have heard good things about the routine

You aren't supposed to ask for passwords to password protected videos or web sites on this forum.

It looks as if this was orginally open to view when he first posted it, but changed that over time.

So how, then, are we supposed to view the video?
It comes up as "Private".

Well, the thread is 6 years old. Perhaps the performer doesn't want it being seen?

True, but one can always hope...
I am always interested in seeing what others are up to. Keeps me on my toes!
