Topic: Steel Core cards as Breathers?

Has anyone here ever used a steel core card as a breather?

It is probably my English that is not good enough, but could you rephrase that.
I can't understand the word "breather" in this context...

Thanks,

What would be the point? A steel core presents its own properties but I believe that would also negate the breather properties.

It's a type of crimp s3rg3. Having a special card is a big help and there are a bunch of them......

I imagine you could put a breather-like crimp into steel core card with the help of a ball peen hammer. But it wouldn't exactly "breathe" any more. Instead it would be permanently visible from the sides of the deck regardless of whether the deck is tabled or held.

The whole point of the breather is that it is compressed (and thus invisible) when the pack is held and only "breathes" out when the pack is tabled.

Good thoughts,
