Yikes! Just got through a rather harrowing 15 minutes of what sounded like random interspersed with rapid gunfire. Turns out the small town I live in was setting off fireworks in honour of 9/11. Trouble is they neglected to advertise anywhere that they'd be doing so. Startled more than a few, I suspect. Leave ya wonderin', I say...

That seems sort of odd. Can't say I've ever heard of fireworks being used to commemorate a sad, solemn anniversary.

I know that the end of Ramadan (which I believe is determined by the lunar calendar) is often celebrated with fireworks in some places, and the end of Ramadan this year happened to fall right around now (give or take a day). Are you sure that may not have been what the fireworks were for?

It was likely automatic gun fire....check the trunks of deserted cars for bikers.

Ain't many around here who'd even know what Ramadan is, balducci.
It was fireworks, Santa. A few of my neighbours ended up outside checking 'em out, although my mother tells me there were about 15 bikes and 30 riders at the restaurant across the street this morning.

Gee, what a coincidence....bikers and 15 of 'em had their bikes stolen prior to being shot and put into car trunks. I should be a detective.

You sure it wasn't the NOTS forum? Things have been heating up pretty fierce here lately :)
