Love it! I always thought Tarot would be a great tool for storytelling as it has all the main characters. Good stuff

Not a fan of the cards, but nice effect with some great handling on the vanishes.

I really like this one! Using the same plot, you could use different tarot decks with different character-types to tell the same type of story, but with a different theme. This is almost like a reverse Cannibal Cards effect. Very nice!

I love Tarot card tricks. Yours was excellent - thanks for sharing.

Just want to point out that this story could be adapted for use with a regular deck of cards. Just use the 4 kings or 4 jacks to reprsent the 4 brothers, and the ace of spades or joker to represent the Lord of Deception -- the Devil.

I guess people still haven't gotten the reference I posted almost 4 years ago...:)
This effect is Bob Neale's "Kind and Gentle Stranger", found in his book "Life, Death, and Other Card Tricks." And yes, it was originally done with regular cards as descibed in the book. Not sure why David hasn't mentioned this already....

I am not a fan of card tricks normally , but it should show me that with a good story a card trick is very entertaining.... thank you

Try the 'soldiers deck of cards" a tru "story" about a soldier in Chapel that was accused of playing cards in Church- at his trial, he went on to prove many cards represented many things in the Bible - plus Almanac- it was also his prayer book etc- I've used it many time by printing the story behind each(gient )card - its good for showing one NOT to be judgemental. Thank you for the information. I've only found used copies of this book for sale online - and at a hefty ($179) price.
