Had no idea what a Monkey Fist was so I clicked the link to find out. Those are really neat!
I don't have a clue what I would use them for though.
Anyway, poked around your website, and you do some excellent coin work.
Michael video got me choked up a bit :(

Keep up the great work!

Thankyou, Chad!
Monkey Fists, for magical purposes, are generally used for cups and balls work. I haven't seen a lot of other magical applications for them, but I'm sure more can be found. The balls themselves have an interesting history.
Thanks for your comment about Michael. I miss her alot.
I appreciate you posting here. :)

These are beautiful, the S & H appears steep.
Message: Posted by: magicalaurie (May 2, 2011 07:05PM)
Thankyou. I'm shipping from Canada. I've generally been shipping expedited, and often actual shipping has cost me more than I'm charging.

Regardless, please check the S & H here:

I've always been a great fan of yours. You are such an interesting and refreshing person. Your creativity astounds me. Poet, philosopher, photographer, artist, actor, magician, naturalist, I could go on and on. Fellow Café members, visit Magicalaurie's website and you will see what I mean. Now I learn that you have a twin sister which makes everything twice as nice.

Respectfully yours,

The 18 Satin Rattail Colours are adjustable hardwood core 7/8".

Banana Yellow Standard, White, and Goldenrod- largely due to the nature of the poly cords I use to tie them- are not adjustable.

All have been tested with top quality Combo Cups and Mini Chop Cup.

I'm a hobbyist who mostly concentrates mostly on coins and card work, but I have been playing around with a chop cup / cups and balls a bit of late, and when I saw the sale link above, I ordered a monkey fist combo set. Sure glad I did -- they are very well made, with a nice weight and feel. The came in a custom drawstring bag along with a cute little wand that can be used to adjust the chop ball. All in all a good value, and anyone in the market for balls for chop cup / C&B should check these out.
Message: Posted by: magicinsight (May 9, 2012 03:36PM)
I see that they come in various sizes. What is the standard size used for cups and balls and chop cups? 3/4 inch?

Thank you very much.

Message: Posted by: Romano911 (May 9, 2012 03:55PM)
I got the 7/8", and they work fine for my Paul Fox style mini combo cups. I think the optimal size for you will depend on the cups you are using and perhaps some elements of your routines as well. You may want to ask the on the ever so slightly subforum... there are folks there who really know their stuff who can help you. Good luck.
Message: Posted by: Decomposed (May 9, 2012 11:10PM)
These look very well made!
Message: Posted by: Romano911 (May 10, 2012 08:39AM)
They are. The are also made of a synthethic material (poly?) that should be easy to keep clean / maintain, another plus.
