I am needing someone who can make a larger cylinder tube with a cover and then I also need a sleeve that fits between the cover and the tube which is alternating colors (clear, see thru pink, clear, see thru pink).

I saw this at Steve Spanglers workshop this past week! Very Funny routine. I asked him about it and he told me had it custom made.

Please PM if you can do this type of work.

You did not mention if the tubes and covers are metal or plastic.

Did Steve Spangler refuse to give you the place he had them custom made? If not why not contact him for additional information.

Are you willing to pay seveal hundred dollars for custom work?

Ummm...

clear... see thru pink etc.....one would assume they're plastic... as glass would be not hundreds.. but thousands to have custom rolled and fused.

Sadly... once plastics jobbers ran into the 21st century... even jobs that used to be simple have turned complicated. Everything has to be done in CAD drawings and cut on a CNC machine.

I had a friend who recently wanted a prop replaced. What cost $75 to cut by hand just a few years ago was almost $500 to have programmed and cut into the same acrylic sheet.

Computers are GREAT for multiple cut runs... but for a one-off... one has to maintain the capability to cut it by hand.

Amen, makeupguy. I tried to get some plastic tubes (cylinders) created for a parlor effect, and finally found someone on the big auction site who could supply them, cut to the size I needed. Sad.
