Hector, I like your new website and promo video. I do feel that your rose trick is simular (too simular) to Tellers 'Shadows' routine.: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dGxwzpZLshg&feature=related the only difference is that you use a ipad drawing of a rose instead of the shadow of the rose like Teller does: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2KazViMAdik&feature=related You might want to contact him to ask his opinion just to make sure that he is fine with your version on his signature routine. |

Hi Tristan, The iPad version is just a portion of my full routine I filmed just to promote my new site. Like this one for example: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QnrSQk5UuCU You are right, it is similar. I discovered Teller's amazing illusion way after I was already performing my routine. And a couple of months ago I could watch it live and discovered that both routines are completely different. That routine was a creation for a show I had a few years back in a theme park about Leonardo Da Vinci, where whatever I paint or erase in a canvas has a reaction on real life in different things. And one of them is this rose that dies and then blooms again. My inspiration for this illusion was, obviously, the movie The beauty and the beast. Anyway, since it has some similarities to Teller's wonderful creation, I would love to contact him. If someone has his contact information, please, PM me. Aaron, me too.. Hehe. But I posted the video becouse I know how it was created and that it is different to Teller's. Thanks you for taking your time to watch my videos, I'm glad you guys like it! That makes me happy! | I LOVED IT!! As usual, you over deliver Hector. The only inconsistancy I noticed was at the end where you named all the countries you performed, and instead of saying United States, it said Los Angeles. That's not even a big enough detail to warrant a change in the video though. I loved how you used an array of different live performance venues. To me it looks more exciting than a studio shot performance video. I really need to put the money out there and get a production quality promo video v.s. something I put together myself. Thanks for the inspiration! |
