I have looked for a post on repairing a sword through neck sword. What do you glue the 2 sword pieces together with that stays flexible and does not interfere with the bending?

Is that the only problem or do you have to re-solder the tip?

Mylar tape.

So I understand the mylar tape just gets put on the sides. What goes between the metal pieces?

I have one Domenico Dante sword blade that is separating, and it looks like it was glued on the inside with something similar to clear silicone adhesive. Maybe this is just an attempted repair, though - I'm not sure...

It would help to know which version you have, as they are not all made the same.

Some use scotch tape, some mylar, and some no tape.

That is the correct construction. I am repairing one now and the interior is filled with soft sil.

What is soft sil ? I am assuming this is some type of silicone. What type do you use?

Flexible but you shouldn't put it within a inch and a half of a soldered tip.
